The Jasper Place CRU is located in the Glenwood Neighborhood of Edmonton - a fast growing area of town. A small scale developer came to us looking for help in determining if the site could hold a small CRU. We developed several options and layouts looking at a pedestrian oriented CRU development with access facing the street and parking in the rear.
The design followed good urban design planning with vehicular access from the alley. The layout created a logical flow and positioned the building to anchor the corner and a canopy that cantilevers over the pedestrian walkway provided protection from the elements. The design reflects Solis Architecture’s approach to delivering flexible, market-responsive commercial developments grounded in functionality and buildability.
The Jasper Place CRU is a new-build commercial retail unit designed to accommodate a range of potential tenants and evolving business needs within an established Edmonton corridor. The project emphasizes efficient leasable area planning, clear service and access strategies, and a strong street-facing presence to enhance commercial visibility. Attention was given to zoning, parking, and building code requirements, as well as cost-effective construction methods and durable material selections, ensuring long-term value for both owners and tenants. The design reflects Solis Architecture’s approach to delivering flexible, market-responsive commercial developments grounded in functionality and build-ability.
