The Piazza is a strip mall in the heart of Little Italy in Edmonton. The building was purchased by the McCauley Development Cooperative with funds from Albertas, Edmontonians, and residents of the community to develop a vital intersection in the area.

This upgrade includes painting the parking lot purple and transforming it into a community gathering place. Building integrated wicking beds and planting to create a pedestrian friendly space along the perimeter. Replacing existing signage and adding exterior lighting. Replacing the existing pylon with a large obelisk at hte corner to symbolize the rebirth of the Piazza. The modernizations will revitalize this important corner of Little Italy.

The goal is to rebuild with the talent and vision of the cooperative working in a deliberate, sustainable, and dedicated way to enhance the life of the residence and the city as a whole.
